Thank you for referring your patient to Sydney Psychogeriatric Clinic. The following is an outline of the referral process.
STEP 1
Referral
Kindly forward through a referral letter from your resident’s general practitioner to our clinic.

STEP 2
Triage
All referrals will be reviewed by a psychiatrist within 72 hours and triaged based on clinical need.
During this process, the patient may be contacted to procure additional information regarding the referral.
STEP 3
SCHEDULE
Clinic staff will contact your staff to arrange a suitable appointment time.
STEP 4
Appointment
Kindly ready the following in preparation for your resident’s appointment:
- Identification (e.g. drivers license, Medicare card)
- Any recent investigation results (e.g. recent blood test results, recent ECG reports, CT scan results, MRI scan results)
- Any recent correspondences from other doctors
